The Neo Sedil syrup is used to treat seizures, allergies, and inflammation in the nasal. The ingredient which is used in this syrup is Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride.The drug class or category of this drug is anti-allergic. The generic category of this drug is Antihistamine.
Uses
- The syrup is used to treat, prevent, and control the symptoms of epilepsy (seizures) and allergies.
- The drug is used to get relief from the allergic inflammation of the Nasal passage (airways) because of the allergens.
- The syrup helps to get relief from allergies, such as the runny nose, itchy eyes, watery eyes, redness of eyes, itching caused by hives and sneezing.

- Neo Sedil Syrup is additionally used to treat perennial allergic rhinitis and to treat long-term allergies, which is caused by medicine or food.
How does it work
- This drug works by blocking and stopping the action of an allergic substance in the body.
- It works by impeding the activity of a natural substance which is produced by the cells of the body called histamine, that is responsible for causing the symptoms of allergy.
Dosage
Dosage for adults
The typical dose of the adults is to use the syrup of 5 mg to 10 mg on daily basis as directed by the doctor.
The dosage depends on the condition of the patient.
For the treatment of Allergic Rhinitis
Neo Sedil syrup of 2.5 mg, 5 ml or 60 ml should be used to treat the associated symptoms and rhinitis (long- term)
For the treatment of Urticaria
Neo Sedil syrup of 2.5 mg or 5 ml, 60 ml should be to treat chronic skin problems related to Urticaria.
Dosage for babies or children
The typical dose for children is from 5 ml to 10 ml (1 or 2 teaspoons) for children age of 6 to 11 years.
The syrup should be used daily at the same time.
